RP学院创始人受美国驻华大使馆邀请，参加全球气候变化——女性领导力圆桌会

3月是女性历史月。3月24日晚美国驻华大使馆特别举办了“气候变化—女性领导力圆桌会谈”，RP学院创始人荣蔚女士受邀参加会议！

March is Women's History Month. On the evening of March 24, the U.S. Embassy Beijing held the Women's Empowerment Roundtable on Climate Change. Ms. Wei (Vivian) Rong, the founder of RP Academy, was invited to attend the meeting!

女性为世界做出了重要贡献。她们以女性视角、女性经验在不同领域制定决策过程中贡献着她们的知识、专业技能以及对社会的理解。

Women have made important contributions to the world. Women bring their knowledge, expertise, and understanding of society at all places where decisions are being made because the female perspective and experience is vital to good decision making.

在科研领域，如果没有女性参与，我们将错失一半好课题、好理念。支持女性全面、平等地参与到科研教育与实践中，不仅意味着优势资源运用，还预示着在这个前所未有的挑战的时代中，我们把最出色的青年科研人派上赛场。

Without women, we miss 50% of good ideas and concepts in academic research. Supporting women's full and equal participation in academic education and research practice not only means that we are using all of our best resources but it means that we are putting our best young researchers on the field at a time when we're facing unprecedented challenges.

会上探讨了投身科研事业的青年研究学者们在改变全球气候变化方面做出的贡献。统计数据表示，从事气候变化研究的人群中，约70%是博士研究生，30%是在各大高校和科研院所工作的研究人员。其中，女性占比不断提升，扮演着不可或缺的角色！

At the meeting, the contributions of young researchers engaged in scientific research in changing global climate change were discussed. Statistics show that about 70% of those engaged in climate change research are doctoral students and 30% are researchers working in universities/colleges and research institutes. The proportion of women is increasing and playing an indispensable role in it!

因此，博士生，其中不乏女性博士，是气候变化科研中的主力军，担负着极其重要的使命。兹也希望更多有志于气候保护的青年学生，尤其是女性学生参与这项科研事业，完成从感兴趣到为之奋斗的华丽转身。

Therefore, doctoral students, many of whom are female, are the main force in climate change research and shoulder an extremely important special mission. We hope that more students interested in climate protection will participate in, completing the gorgeous turn from interested to onboard.
