Required Skills: python, embeddings, pytorch, computer vision, deep learningYou are required to write Python code that can read parquet files and images for processing face embeddings. Please refer to the final part of the readme and extend it (https://github.com/FacePerceiver/LAION-Face). The metadata's parquet should include the URL of each image. The face embeddings calculated for each image must be stored in parquets as a backup, and in an open-source vector embedding database for interactive use, such as Chroma DB (https://www.trychroma.com/), pgvector (https://github.com/pgvector/pgvector/), or a similar database. Research to determine the best database for this task is required. The chosen database must support 50 million embeddings, as needed to retrieve the LAION-Face dataset. Additionally, we need code that utilizes the embedding database to retrieve images similar to a specific face embedding from the processed LAION-Face dataset. Finally, assistance is needed with the visualization interface for an interactive art installation. This task is a part of the code to develop an interactive art piece that retrieve if you are in the LAION-Face dataset (which is the subset of faces of LAION dataset fueling the training of Stable diffusion models

Varvara Guljajeva 是计算媒体与艺术方向的助理教授。

Varvara Guljajeva 博士拥有爱沙尼亚艺术学院哲学博士学位、德国吕贝克大学 ISNM 数字媒体硕士学位和爱沙尼亚信息技术学院信息技术学士学位。Varvara Guljajeva 是艺术与技术领域的艺术家和研究员。她曾在多所大学任教和从事研究工作，如爱沙尼亚艺术学院、巴塞罗那伊利萨瓦设计与工程学院、林茨艺术与设计大学界面文化学院等。瓦尔瓦拉曾受邀作为客座研究员前往 XRL、香港城市大学、IAMAS（日本大垣）、LJMU（英国利物浦）、林茨艺术与设计大学界面文化学院和 Blekinge Institute of Technology（瑞典卡尔斯港）进行访问。

作为一名艺术家，她与 Mar Canet 组成了艺术家二人组 Varvara & Mar。二人的创作灵感通常来自信息时代。他们在实践中直面社会变革和技术时代的影响。自 2009 年以来，两人的作品一直在国际展览中展出。他们的作品曾在纽约 MAD、利物浦 FACT、巴塞罗那 Santa Monica、伦敦 Barbican、雅典 Onassis 文化中心、林茨 Ars Electronica 博物馆、卡尔斯鲁厄 ZKM 等地展出。
