Post-Doctoral Research Associate
Job Description
The successful candidate will work in the area of malting and brewing to conduct research, analyze data, and prepare results and reports in the Department of Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. The individual will also assist in mentoring graduate student, managing laboratory, and writing grants.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal/Food Science, Microbiology, Fermentation Technology/Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Experience with laboratory procedures related to biological samples, beverage and/or food.
• Experience in the experimental result analysis and interpretation for scientific publication.
• Strong written and communication skills and ability to work efficiently with others in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Research experience in at least one of the following fields: analysis of enzymes, polysaccharides and protein/peptides, hyperspectrum and machine learning, metabolomics, molecular biology, and plant physiology.
Advertised salary: $45,000-50,000 per year.
