新不伦瑞克大学电池模拟项目招收博士研究生
About the Project
We are seeking a highly motivated young scientist who is interested in battery simulation, in particular in heat transfer, structural mechanics, electrochemical, and fluid mechanical modeling. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing simulation models using COMSOL Multiphysics (Heat Transfer, Chemical Engineering, Structural Mechanics, Battery & Fuel Cell Modules). This position involves collaboration with scientists and engineers from industry to gather required parameters/data to validate and test the models.
Qualifications:
• A MSc. degree in Applied Science or Engineering
• Working knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer and electrical processes and their governing equations is a must.
• Electrochemistry knowledge is not required, but it is considered an important asset.
• Analyze, interpret and summarize simulation and testing data.
• Capability of drawing and design.
• Familiarity with analytical and numerical mathematical methods for solving differential equations (ordinary and partial).
• Participate in academic-industrial team to design, optimize and test new battery components.
You will be asked:
• Develop and implement simulation models for battery systems using COMSOL Multiphysics.
• Simulation is focused on electrochemical, fluid mechanical, and heat transfer models
• Analyze and interpret simulation results to identify performance issues and areas for improvement
• Work closely with industrial partner to ensure that simulations accurately represent system behavior
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in battery system simulation and incorporate new techniques and tools as appropriate
• Write technical reports and publications for high-impact journals.
Please include the following items as a single PDF application file: (i) curriculum vitae, (ii) copy of university transcript/diplomas, and (iii) the contact details of two references (please confirm that these references can be contacted).
Application deadline: Before September 1st 2023.
