Postdoctoral Research Associate in plant genome editing

The Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance of Texas Tech University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate with strong background and experience in developing genome editing technologies in plants. The successful candidate will work in the laboratory of Degao Liu.

Responsibilities

• Develop tissue culture-free plant genome editing and transformation methods

• Develop new genome editing technologies

• Accelerate crop improvement using genome editing

• Publish scientific results in peer-reviewed journals in a timely manner

• Present research progress in project meetings and national/international conferences

• Help with mentoring graduate students and managing the lab

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in plant biotechnology, genetics, genetic engineering, molecular biology, virology, or related plant science field

• Experience in plant genome editing

• Strong publication record

• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate among project team members are necessary
