phone n. 电话 v.打电话 on the phone通过电话
bookworm n. 书迷；书虫
anything pron. 任何事物；某事
grocery n. 杂货 grocery store杂货店
expensive adj.昂贵的 反义词cheap

1.She is talking to her grandma on the phone .
on the phone通过电话交谈，on通过某种方式，不用by。phone名词，“电话”。eg：What's your phone number? 你的电话号码是多少？
phone作动词，意为“打电话”，后面跟名词或代词。常用短语有：phone sb.＝call sb.＝ring sb.(up)“给某人打电话”。
eg：Please phone/call/ring me when you're free.当你有空的时候请给我打电话。
2. I can read you one this weekend. 本周末我可以给你读一个。
read sb. sth.，给某人读某物，相当于read sth. to sb.，
类似用法的词还有：
write sb. sth.=write sth. to sb.，给某人写东西。
give sb. sth.=give sth. to sb.，给某人某物。
I often write my father letters. 我常给爸爸写信。
3.The bookstore is just two bus stops away.
away为副词,表示(离开,不在,离……多远)。
I am 500 miles away from home. 我离家五百英里。
(1)put away 放好,把……收拾起来。
Put away the things on the floor. 把地板上的东西收好。
(2) run away 逃走,离开。
Tom runs away when he sees the dog. 当汤姆看见狗的时候,逃跑了。
(3)take away 拿走,带走,夺去,使离去。
Take away the cakes, please. 请把这些蛋糕拿走。
4.It's very close. 离的很近。close/kləʊs/adj.近的，接近的
be close to sb./sth.意为“(在空间或时间上)接近某人或某物”。
eg：The farm is very close.农场很近。
Our new house is close to the school. 我们的新房子离学校近。
①close adj.紧密的，亲密的 eg：She is my close friend. 她是我的密友。
②close v.关,关闭 eg：Close the door.关上门。
