香港城市大学马智谦教授课题组招收博士研究生

一、PI简介

马智谦教授于1997年获得香港科技大学理学学士学位,于2000年获香港大学颁授理学硕士学位。2005年,于牛津大学获得博士学位。随后,他前往美国波士顿儿童医院和哈佛医学院接受博士后培训,师从克利福德·伍尔夫教授,并于2011年加入香港城市大学。马智谦教授曾获香港大学尤德爵士纪念奖学金(1997-1999)、牛津大学裘槎基金会奖学金(2001-2004)及哈佛大学奖学金(2005-2007)

三、研究兴趣及方向

马教授的实验室主要通过细胞生物学、分子生物学、解剖学、动物行为和遗传学等多学科的方法,研究中枢和外周神经系统损伤后再生的内在分子机制。分别使用体外细胞培养和体内动物模型检测损伤神经元的生长能力和功能恢复。他们的最终目标是寻找促进损伤后轴突再生的新策略,并提高对神经退行性疾病的认识和治疗。

实验室有开展其它神经退行性疾病的研究包括:阿尔兹海默症(Alzheimers Disease),帕金森(Parkinson's disease),中风(Stroke),癫痫(Epilepsy)等

4. 申请者需为生物学, 生物化学, 神经科学, 生物医学, 医学等相关领域,招收人数:1-2名。

5. 英语语言成绩要求:

    托福: 79分及以上;或者

    雅思: 6.5及以上.
