报告人简介

Juan Reyes Herrera, a Junior Scientist at Mechanical engineering Group (MEG) of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) . He is responsible for performing X-ray optics simulations for the ESRF beamlines. Typically, he is involved in refurbishments and design of new beamlines, studying the effects of heat-load, surface errors and misalignments on the X-ray beam by modelling synchrotron sources and X-ray optical elements.

The OrAnge SYnchrotron Suite (OASYS) is an open source software that has a wide collection of tools to perform X-ray optic simulations. Since its creation in 2013, under the open-source scheme, OASYS has been under a continuous development to have a functional user-friendly graphical user interface. This presentation will consist to show some of the OASYS capabilities after a brief introduction. We will cover three main parts. First, using OASYS-XOPPY, we will review some of the tools to calculate power and flux emitted by the different synchrotron sources, and how to calculate the power load on different beamline. Second part will be focused on ray-tracing methods (OASYS-SHADOW) for photon beam propagation through the beamline. Finally, we will briefly check a method to perform coherence propagation simulations, using OASYS-WOFRY.
