【语法疑难解答】状语从句的省略问题
最近一直有同学问从句的省略问题，特此整理，统一解答！
1、何为省略？
无论在口语中还是在书面语中,有时为了讲话简洁或行文方便,常常在不影响文意的情况下将句子中的某些成分略去,这种现象称为省略。纵观历年高考试题,"省略"在语法填空中频频出现。
2、常见考法:考的最多的是状语从句的省略。
(1) 状语从句的省略的两个要求是：
a：从句谓语中包含be动词
b：从句的主语与主句的主语一致，或者从句的主语为it，be动词通常一期省略。例如：
<1> When ( the museum is) completed，the museum will be open to the public next year.
<2> While (I was) waiting for him, I found my wallet was missing.
<3> He’ll go to the seaside for his holiday if (it is ) possible.
<4> When (she was) very young, she began to learn to play the piano.
考查方式(语法填空中考察比较多)：
<1> When _____ (complete)，the museum will be open to the public next year.
<2> While ______ (wait) for him, I found my wallet was missing.
(2)五大状语从句的省略
a）时间状语的省略（考的最多）。
When (she was) very young, she began to learn to play the piano.
她很小时，就开始学习弹钢琴。
While (I was) at college, I began to know him, a strange but able student.
我在上大学时就开始认识他，一个奇怪但有能力的学生
When arriving, send me a telegram. (When you arrive, send me a telegram.)
到达之后，来个电报
Don’t come in until (you are) asked to.
不叫你请你不要进来
Whenever (it is )possible, you should come and help.
不管什么时候只要有可能就来帮忙。
You should let us know the result as soon as(it is) possible.
你应尽快让我们知道结果。
b）条件状语从句的省略
If (it is) possible, he will help you out of the difficulty.
如果可能的话，他会帮你摆脱困境。
You must attend the meeting unless (it is) inconvenient to you.
除非情况对你来说不方便,否则你必须出席这次会议
c）让步状语从句的省略
He is a good man, though sometimes (he is) rather dull. 他真是个好人，尽管有时有点无聊。
Even if (I am ) invited to, I won’t go to such a bad lecture. 即使邀我去，我都不想听如此坏的报告
d）方式状语从句的省略
She talked to the stranger as if (she were) absent-minded.
她和陌生人谈话似乎很不在意。
He opened the desk, as if (he was) in search of something important.
他打开抽屉仿佛要找一件什么重要的东西。
e) 比较状语从句的省略
She can play the piano just as wonderfully as you (do).
她钢琴弹的我你弹的一样好。
She has finished the work earlier than (it has been) expected.
她这项工作比预料的提前完成。
