Marine Development (简称MD，中文名《海洋发展》，ISSN 3004-832X)，是由中国海洋大学和国家海洋信息中心共同主办的海洋人文社会科学及交叉学科的专业性学术期刊，2023年9月创刊，与Springer Nature合作，采取OA方式出版。目前，MD已被DOAJ、Scopus等数据库收录。
MD 的办刊宗旨是立足中国，面向世界，服务国家海洋强国战略建设，服务海洋人文社会科学发展和交融，服务国家一流学科建设；办刊目标是旨在促进我国海洋交叉学科融合和创新发展，将围绕国家重大战略进行选题策划，努力打造国际一流学术期刊，提升我国在相关领域的国际学术话语权和影响力。

Aims and Scopes
征稿范围
MD 选题涵盖了海洋人文社会科学与交叉学科领域，特别关注但不限于以下研究方向：
海洋经济与管理：海洋战略规划、涉海商务、蓝色粮仓、海洋经济可持续发展、海洋低碳发展与决策优化、海洋会计和金融、渔业管理、海洋技术创新与生产效率等；
海洋资源与环境：海洋资源开发利用与保护、海洋环境监测评估与管理、海洋污染防控、海洋生态修复、海洋蓝色碳汇和海洋生物多样性保护等；
全球海洋治理：海洋政策与法律、海洋空间规划、可持续海洋治理和全球海洋治理的理论与实践等。

Special Issue1
美丽海湾建设与海洋可持续发展（Beautiful Bay Construction and Marine Sustainable Development）：本专题聚焦“美丽海湾建设与海洋可持续发展”，探讨全球变化和人类活动对海湾和大陆海域的影响，关注生态修复、环境改善及可持续发展。研究方向包括生态影响评估、海湾水质修复、物种恢复、生态风险评估、综合管理等。目标是推动海洋生态系统的可持续性与海湾功能的和谐发展。专题截稿日期为2025年12月31日。
Special Issue2
沿海城市气候适应与城市韧性（Climate Adaptation and Urban Resilience in Coastal Cities）：沿海城市面临海平面上升、风暴潮、内涝和热浪等复合气候风险，严重威胁其密集的人口、基础设施和经济活动。有效的韧性建设需要多方利益相关者协同努力：政府投资韧性基础设施，科技界提供精准预测，社区与企业共同参与，综合运用工程与自然解决方案，以增强适应能力与可持续发展。本专题旨在征集关于沿海城市复合气候风险预测评估、适应策略设计与实施，以及提升城市综合韧性路径的最新研究成果。专题截稿日期为2026年8月31日。

Instructions for Authors
Types of papers
Marine Development publishes Research Article and Review Article.
Research article: approximately 6,000 to 10,000 words long (including tables, figure captions, and references), publishing original research on marine development, including theoretical or policy analysis studies.
Review article: approximately 8,000 to 10,000 words long (including tables, figure captions, and references). Review articles would analyze recent research published by scholars in the field, highlighting the latest research trends with significant global impacts.
Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
