Instructions for Authors
The journal KGK Kautschuk Gummi Kunststoffe is an international journal, dealing with research and technlogy of polymer materials. The journal publishes both scientific and technical articles on rubber and plastics. It strives to maintain a thematic balance between theory, applications, measurement, techniques, analysis etc., and accepts for publication articles written in german and english.
Submitted articles should not have been published elsewhere. It will be assumed that the author possesses copyright control over his work and that the directorate of the institute or company in which research has been carried out has granted permission for the work to be published. Manuscript will be refereed prior to acceptance.
The editorial department asks authors to observe the following points:
• Please send the manuscript to our editorial office, etwina.gandert@huethig.de or to our editor ulrich.giese@dikautschuk.de
• The order of the paper: key words, short summary, Schlagworte, kurze Zusammenfassung, authors, text, corresponding author, tables, table captions, figures, figures captions.
• Length: from 20.000 to 35.000 characters including blanks
• Figures: the article may contain photos, drawings and tables (digital pictures should not be part of a word-document or a power point file and should at least be as big as 9x13 cm and have at least a resolution of 300 dpi in jpg or tif). The number of figures should be limited to ca. 10.
• Equations should be visibly separated from the text by adequate spacing and consecutively numbered.
• Please use in the figures DIN- or ISO-standard lettering. Figure captions must be entered on a separate sheet.
• Please use SI units in text, tables and figures.
• Literature references in the text are to be numbered consecutively using square brackets (e.g. Tako[1]) and appear in the same sequence in the bibliography at the end.
• Examples of correctly recorded references:
[1] M. Ganter, KGK 54 (2001) 166.
[2] E. Pat. 0008916 (1992) Bayer AG, Erf. H. Schmidt.
[3] DIN 53561 (1979).
• Please include with the manuscript a short summary of the article. It should be written in both german and english, include the title of the paper, and not exceed 700 characters.
• Key words should be supplied in german and english (ca. 5)
• Authors are requested to describe briefly (not more than 5 lines) their present affiliation(s).
Please appoint a corresponding author from whom we need the hole address with company and department.
• Authors are required to proofread the galleys of their articles. Please send a well prepared manuscript. We have no possibility for a lot of corrections. If you have essential corrections please use the proof correction markes.
All authors will receive voucher copies.
Terms of business: the publication is based in terms of business for authors.
