Mechanobiology in Medicine （MBM）致力于发展成为力学生物学与医学交叉研究领域最重要的出版物之一。本刊将汇集相关学科最重要的研究新进展，通过观点、评述提高最新研究的显示度。
通过发表跨领域、综合性的研究内容，Mechanobiology in Medicine为生命科学、医学、力学与工程学科之间架起沟通的桥梁。它希望揭示分子、细胞、组织和器官等各层次的力学环境和力学特征的变化对机体生长、发育、生理学和病理生理学的影响。该领域的核心包括：（1）对力学信号转导的理解，即分子与细胞感知力的机制; （2）力学适应，即分子与细胞对力作出响应的机制; （3）力学记忆，力学适应持续存在的机制。通过出版突破传统领域界限的研究，本刊希望在生命科学、医学、力学与工程学科专业人员之间建立沟通平台来推进力学生物学与医学领域的发展。

Mechanobiology in Medicine (MBM) aspires to become one of the most prominent publishing venue in mechanobiology by bringing together the most important advances in the discipline, enhancing their visibility by means of opinion and news articles, and providing overviews of the state of the art in each field through topic-, disease- or technology-focused review articles.
By publishing content that traverses field boundaries, Mechanobiology in Medicine helps to build bridges between engineers, life scientists, and medical professionals. Mechanobiology is an interdisciplinary discipline that combines biology, engineering, chemistry, physics and medicine. It is a comprehensive and high-tech discipline focused on how physical forces and changes in the mechanical properties of cells and tissues contribute to development, cell differentiation, physiology, and disease-related through understanding mechanotransduction-the molecular mechanisms by which cells sense and respond to mechanical signals.
Scope
Mechanobiology in Medicine is a peer-reviewed, online, open access journal focused on fundamental research of mechanobiology by studyingthe structure, function and interrelationship within human body at multiple levels using principles and methods of modern natural science and engineering technology, and trying to provide novel insights into how mechanical inputs regulate cell behavior and tissue homeostasis and how their deregulation might cause disease. The journal includes research articles, reviews, and rapid communications with a focus on the mechanobiological advances for disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
