Visual Informatics 是由浙江大学计算机辅助设计与图形系统全国重点实验室创办、浙江大学出版社和Elsevier出版集团联合出版、在线发行、开放获取的国际学术期刊。2017年创刊,本刊聚焦于面向人类感知的视觉信息的建模、分析、合成、增强与自然交互,内容包括高效的图形图像算法、大数据可视化与可视分析、虚拟现实与增强现实、表意式图形绘制、人类对视觉信息的感知与交互机制。
创刊以来,在主编周昆教授、Hans-Peter Seidel教授,执行主编陈为教授组成的编委团队带领下,VI注重学术质量,关注学科前沿和工业发展需求。读者群体和投稿作者群体分布广泛,受到来自中国、美国、德国、印度等各国学者和读者的关注。
VI的稿件处理和生产速度十分迅速,截至目前VI期刊已被EI、ESCI、DOAJ、INSPEC、Scopus、Google Scholar数据库收录,所有文章一经接收便会即时在线发布,欢迎广大科研人员踊跃投稿!

Guide for Authors
Aims and scope
Visual Informatics is a peer-reviewed online journal published on the platform of Elsevier. It is dedicated to the development and application of theories, algorithms and technologies associated with visual data acquisition, analysis, synthesis, perception, enhancement and applications. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
Visual data acquisition and modelling
Visualization and visual analysis
Expressive rendering
Augmented reality
Natural interface based on visual perception
The journal accepts surveys, original research articles, invited papers, special issues and excellent papers recommended by some related conferences. During the first few years, it will be published quarterly with open access.

Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication: Original research papers, reviews, Editorial, Technical Note.
Please ensure that you select the appropriate article type from the list of options when making your submission. Authors contributing to special issues should ensure that they select the special issue article type from this list.

Submission declaration
Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis or as an electronic preprint, see https://www.elsevier.com/sharingpolicy, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.
Changes to authorship
Authors are expected to consider carefully the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and provide the definitive list of authors at the time of the original submission. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made only before the manuscript has been accepted and only if approved by the journal Editor. To request such a change, the Editor must receive the following from the corresponding author: (a) the reason for the change in author list and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed.
Only in exceptional circumstances will the Editor consider the addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors after the manuscript has been accepted. While the Editor considers the request, publication of the manuscript will be suspended. If the manuscript has already been published in an online issue, any requests approved by the Editor will result in a corrigendum.
