Guide for contributors
The journal of Global Geology is sponsored by the International Center for Geoscience Research and Education in Northeast Asia, Jilin University of China (ISSN 1673-9736, CN22-1371/P). The former name of the journal was Journal of Geoscientific Research in Northeast Asia. It was launched in 1998 and served the scientists and teachers in geosciences in the world. The Editorial Board is composed of 68 scientists from different countries in the world , including Belgium, China, Canada, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Germany, Japan, Mongolia, Republic of Korea, Russia, UK and USA.
The journal was biannually in publication from 1998 to 2007, but it has been changed to be published quarterly since 2008. We hope that the readers worldwide will be more interested in and continue to support our journal by contributing more papers to the journal.
Form of manuscript
Manuscripts should be concise and consistent in style, spelling, and the use of abbreviations. Authors should submit their manuscripts in English. The title page should include: the title, the name (s) of the author (s) and their affiliations. If possible, please use the “Times New Roman” font.
References
In the text , reference to the literature cited should list author’s name , year of publication, title, source, volume (issue) and page.
Tables
Tables should be compiled on separate sheets. A title should be provided for each table and should be referred to in the text.
Illustrations
All illustrations should be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text, and figure captions should be supplied on a separate sheet. Original figures should fit the journal page (17 cm×23 cm) or column (8 cm×23 cm). If figures have been created electronically, at final acceptance they may be submitted as separate files. They must be saved in CorelDRAW, Excel, JPG or TIF formats. If a figure has been created in another format, it must be saved in one of these formats.
Copyright
As the manuscript is accepted for publication, it indicate the authors agree to automatically transfer the copyright to the Global Geology. The journal has allowed some databases (including CNKI, WANFANG, VIP and CHAOXING) to copy, compile, distribute and disseminate all articles of the journal in a digital way. The remuneration paid by the journal already includes the royalties for the use of the copyright of these databases. Any act of submitting an article to the journal by the author shall be deemed to agree with the above statement. If you have any objection, please explain it when you submit. The journal will handle it according to the author’s instructions.

来稿要求和注意事项
1 来稿务必论点明确、论据充分、数据可靠、文字精练。
稿件编写的一般顺序为：文题、作者姓名、作者单位全 称、摘要、关键词、正文（包括引言、论证材料、结果讨论、结论、致谢）、参考文献、图版说明。
（1）论文题目：要简单明了、概括主题，一般不超过20个字，必要时可加副标题。
（2）论文作者：只列出主要参加者，一般不超过6人。多单位作者时，分别按单位用1、2、3······序号在作者姓名后右上角标注。
（3）作者单位：写明作者单位全称、所在省区市城镇名、邮政编码。多单位作者时，用1、2、3······序号按单位依次列出。
（4）论文摘要：应简明扼要，具有独立性和自明性。报道性摘要（指明文章实质性内容）应包括目的、方法、结果和结论4部分，尤其要突出成果创新性和开拓性，不加评论和补充解释。字数一般150~300字，并给出3~6个关键词。
（5）首页脚注：①注明论文成果所属项目类别[基金项目（国家和省部级各类基金项目）、地调项目（中国地质调查局所属项目）、科研项目（其他项目）]、项目下达单位、项目具体名称及编号。若有通讯作者顺提供通讯作者的E-mail地址信息。
2 正文编写
（1） 标题序号：引言部分序号为0。正文中的一、二、三级标题序号均用阿拉伯数字依次连续编写，例如：1、1.1、1.1.1、1.1.2······1.2、1.2.1.2.2······2、2.1、2.1.1······四级以下不设专门序号和标题，可用（1）、①等划分层次。
（2）语言文字：严格使用科技书面语，避免口语化和非专业性用语。
（3）量和单位： 使用国家法定计量单位（国家标准）。变量符号一般采用斜体，单位符号用正体。
（4）测试数据：插图、表格中的测试数据，要注明测试者、测试方法、实验条件、仪器设备、精度、误差范围及年份等。有关地质取样的文章要提供样品的准确地理坐标和原始取样位置图。
（5）插图、图版、表格：图、表要有自明性，附图（表）名，并符合国际标准。插图力求简明清晰，地质图及相关素描图要标经纬度、比例尺、方位和图例等。凡涉及到国境线图件必须以国家地图出版社公开出版的最新地理地图为根据。函数图需标明横、纵坐标的标值，标目。最好能提供可修改的CorelDraw矢量图。双栏图宽<80 mm，通栏图宽<170 mm，图中文字注记为6－8磅，坐标值为6磅，标目为8磅。图中文字、符号、坐标等应与正文中的叙述一致。图中线条花纹要清晰、疏密得当。表格用三线表，表中文字都用6号字。
3 参考文献
稿件中引用他人公开发表的资料须在正文内标注并在文后列出参考文献，前后对应。只列作者阅读过的与本文有关的文献；引用非公开出版物不列入参考文献中，在正文中用当页脚注。作者应对所引文献的完整性和准确性负责。非英语文种文献需要在参考文献后做一注释，如：一篇带有英文摘要的中文文献在其后标注为（in Chinese with English abstract)。本刊参考文献著录格式采用作者出版年制，文中引用格式：一个作者（Wang, 1998), 两个作者（Wang & Li, 1998), 3个或3个以上作者（Wang et al., 1998), et al. 为斜体。文后参考文献以作者姓排序，参考文献中的编著者不到3人时，全部列出，超过时只写前3名，后加“et al.”。著者一律姓前名后，姓首字母大写，名只缩为一个大写首字母，如：Whalen J B, Wang P J。本刊的出版年位置紧随作者之后，其它表示方式与其他刊相同。
