The Journal of Advanced Nursing’s Early Career Researcher Editorial Board is excited to announce a call for papers for a special issue about understudied phenomena and emerging methodologies for nursing.

We welcome the submission of papers about new or emerging phenomena of interest to nurses. How these phenomena are experienced by, or impact, individuals or groups of people who are marginalized or have been excluded from research are of particular interest. We recognize that nurses’ practices and the phenomena of most interest to them vary by individual interests, cultures, practice settings, geographic locations, personal conceptualizations of “nurse” and “nursing,” and other factors.

Therefore, we welcome papers that highlight phenomena that have received little attention in scholarly publications, but that are significant for nurses. Additionally, we invite authors to submit papers about unique ways of studying well-established phenomena, including methodologies borrowed and adapted from other disciplines and new ones with nursing as its ontological base.
因此，我们欢迎强调在学术出版物中很少受到关注但对护士意义重大的现象的论文。此外，我们邀请作者提交有关研究既定现象的独特方法的论文，包括从其他学科借用和改编的方法以及以护理为本体基础的新方法。
We acknowledge that nurses study phenomena and use methodologies that are also relevant for other health and social care professionals and disciplines; therefore, authors should be explicit about how their work advances nursing knowledge development, practice, education, research, or policy.

Early career researchers are encouraged to submit manuscripts aligning with this call.

How to submit:
1、Carefully follow the instructions for submission outlined in the Author Guidelines.
2、When your paper is ready go to our manuscript submission site and select “Understudied phenomena and emerging methodologies for nursing ” from the dropdown menu for the “Special Issue” item of the section labeled “Step 1: Type, Title, & Abstract.”
3、Select the relevant article type and follow the steps required.
