论文“讨论”部分，用什么时态？

本文将对论文中 Results（结果）和 Discussion（讨论）部分的时态进行具体的举例说明。

结果章节

结果章节叙述的是在论文撰写之前就已经完成的实验结果，因此应该使用过去式来叙述得到的结果。

范例：Overall, there was a significant reduction in the blood pressure of more than 60% of the patients.

但是，在参考呈现结果的图表时，要使用现在式。

范例：Table 4 shows the bold pressure levels of patients before and after administration of the recommended dose of the drug.

讨论章节

至于讨论章节，通常使用过去式来总结所有的发现，但当你在阐释结果或叙述结果的重要性时，要使用现在式。讨论章节则经常会有现在式和过去式混用的情况。

范例：63% of the children demonstrated an elevated level of at least one risk factor, indicating that are children with obesity are at an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases.

上面例句中前面的部分是在叙述结果，所以使用过去式，而后半段是在说明结果的意义，因此是用现在式。

如果你在讨论章节中要对日后的后续研究或工作方向提出建议的话，就需要使用未来式。

范例：The methods reported here will open up avenues for further research in the field.
