Peer Review and Ethics
Taylor & Francis is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review. Once your paper has been assessed for suitability by the editor, it will be single-blind peer reviewed by independent, anonymous expert referees. Find out more about what to expect during peer review and read our guidance on publishing ethics.
Preparing Your Paper
Your paper should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text (introduction, results, discussion, conclusions); acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with short titles (no longer than one sentence); figure(s) with captions. Every paper must have an abstract (unstructured). The abstract should not contain reference citations. The abstract should be brief. Provide between 2 and 5 keywords. Keywords are the terms that are most important to the article and should be terms readers may use to search. Read making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the cover page of the manuscript. Where appropriate, please also include ORCiDs and social media handles (Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn). One author will need to be identified as the corresponding author, with their email address normally displayed in the published article. Authors’ affiliations are the affiliations where the research was conducted. If any of the named co-authors moves affiliation during the peer-review process, the new affiliation can be given as a footnote. Please note that authorship may not be changed after acceptance. Please note that no changes to affiliation can be made after your paper is accepted. Read more on authorship.
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use double quotation marks, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation.” Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
Submissions to Fusion Science and Technology should follow the style guidelines described in The Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed.). Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (11th ed.) should be consulted for spelling.
Formatting and Templates
Papers may be submitted in any standard file format, including Word and LaTeX. The text of the manuscript is to be organized into sections, with the first-level headings (I., II., etc.) and second-level headings (I.A., I.B., etc.). The main document should be double-spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides, and all pages should be numbered consecutively. Text should appear in 12-point Times New Roman or other common 12-point font. Please provide separate, individual figure files.
Authors can download a Word template here and can download a LaTeX template here. If you are submitting in LaTeX, please include a PDF output along with your LaTeX source files.
