Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Online Submission
Please follow the hyperlink “Submit manuscript” on the right and upload all of your manuscript files following the instructions given on the screen.
Please ensure you provide all relevant editable source files. Failing to submit these source files might cause unnecessary delays in the review and production process.
Important notes:
It is mandatory to use line numbering for the manuscript. If a manuscript does not have line numbers it will be returned to the author.
Upon submission, the e-mail addresses of all authors will be requested. At the end of the submission process, the corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement e-mail and all co-authors will be contacted automatically to confirm their affiliation to the submitted work.
Food Security has established a tradition of publishing short biographies of authors at the end of published articles. Submitted research articles, case studies, and reviews must be accompanied with short biographies of each author (at least 50, but no more than 150 words) and good quality photos.
Potential reviewers: Each submission must include information on at least 2, preferably 3-4, potential reviewers, which Food Security may decide to seek reviews from. These reviewers must not belong to the same institution as the authors. Reviewers must be recognised scientists with documented expertise on the topic of the submission. Information on potential reviewers must include: full name, email, professional affiliation, and a specific explanation why each reviewer could be sollicited.
Title Page
Please make sure your title page contains the following information.

The title should be concise and informative.

The name(s) of the author(s)
The affiliation(s) of the author(s), i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country
