About the Journal
Annals of Science is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Annals of Science accepts the following types of article: original articles, book and essay reviews.
Manuscripts are accepted in English and extracts from published works must be translated. Authors are asked to take account of the diverse audience of the journal. Please avoid the use of terms that might be meaningful only to a local or national audience; where this is unavoidable provide a clear explanation. However, papers that reflect the particularities of a social and cultural system are acceptable.
If you would like a particular Editorial Board Member to handle your submission, please mention this in your cover letter and the Co-Editors will take this into consideration.
Please note that unsolicited Book Reviews are not accepted. If you would like to submit a Book Review, please contact the Book Reviews Editor, Gideon Manning.
Open Access

Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper. There are no word limits for papers in this journal.
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use British (-ize) spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use single quotation marks, except where ‘a quotation is “within” a quotation’.
Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
Please follow footnote style MHRA. You can download the style sheet to assist you.
