Visual Abstract
UPIS strongly encourages the submission of Visual Abstracts upon submission of a manuscript. The presence and quality of Visual Abstracts that are attached to papers will be considered in the peer review process, but are not mandatory. The VAs will not be published within the article but will be used in social media promotion after the article has published. The Editorial Board reserves the right to determine the use and timing of the visual abstract.
A Visual Abstract summarizes the main features of the work. This could either be the concluding figure from the article or a figure that is specially designed for the purpose which captures the content of the article for readers at a single glance.
EDITORIAL GUIDELINES FOR VISUAL ABSTRACTS
