近日，由国网智能电网研究院有限公司主办，和英国工程技术学会（IET）联合出版的《Electrical Materials and Applications》（中文译名：电工材料及应用）期刊在国际著名出版平台Wiley online library正式上线出版（https://ietresearch.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/29960851）。
作为国网智研院主办的首本国际学术期刊，《电工材料及应用》面向国家重点战略布局与国际学术前沿发展的重大需求，聚焦电工材料全专业领域，重点报道电工绝缘、磁性、导体及半导体、防护、传感材料和新型储能材料等方向的最新研究进展，以及材料基因工程等材料共性技术在电工材料中的重要应用。期刊发表内容将涵盖原创研究论文、综述文章、观点类文章、社论等类型文章，所有文章目前对作者和读者实行双向免费政策。
《电工材料及应用》的创刊将有力促进电工材料与电气工程等专业的融合创新，填补国内外尚无覆盖电工材料“基础理论-实验研发-测试评估-产业应用”全链条英文期刊的空白。
期刊由中国科学院院士陈维江担任主编，并邀请来自中国、美国、英国、德国、日本等90名本领域知名专家组建了国际化编委团队，为期刊的高水平稿源和高质量出版提供了有力的支持和保障。

1. Open Access
All Article Processing Charges for Electrical Materials and Applications are sponsored by State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute Co., Ltd.; authors do not need to pay.
All IET journals are Gold Open Access titles. Submissions will be subject to an APC if accepted and published in the journal. You can read more about APCs and whether you may be eligible for waivers or discounts, through your institution, funder, or a country waiver.
There is no charge for submitting to IET journals.
2. Special Issues
Special issues of Electrical Materials and Applications highlight emerging topics within the field of engineering or pose interesting questions and offer new perspectives on an existing area of research.

3. Article Types
The following article types are included in Electrical Materials and Applications:
Original Research Paper
Report of original research findings and data.
Review
Critically examines the body of research on a particular subject and give insights/informed opinions on the direction and future of the research field.
Short Communication
Brief presentations of new technical concepts and developments, often just making a single point which can be done succinctly and clearly in this format.
Perspective
By invitation only. Perspectives discuss one or a cluster of recently published papers, or a specific technique or application relevant to the journal’s scope. It should include a discussion of the outlook, challenges, and opportunities.
Perspectives are not like research articles – research articles describe novel findings that have been found as a result of research. A perspective is more like a review paper, however, it differs from a review paper because reviews look widely at the current state of knowledge, how it has changed and what the challenges are whereas a perspective takes a narrower focus, e.g. on a single paper or technique.
