Manuscript Presentation, Particular

Tables (if any) should be numbered consecutively and each should have a caption.

Originals or good prints of all figures and diagrams in the manuscript should be submitted with the manuscript itself. These should be drawn to professional standards. The lettering on all originals must be of such a size that after reduction of the drawing to one column or page width (8.4 or 17.2 cm) the letters will still be at least 2 mm high. Halftone black and white photographs are acceptable. They should be rich of contrast. Microphotographs should have the enlargement stated in the caption.

References should be given in numerical order as they appear in the manuscript text and cited in the following manner:

For a journal paper[1] I.Y. Ahn, W.J. Kim and S.H. Moon, Appl. Catal. A: Gen. 308 (2006) 75. For a contributed volume paper [2] Y. Ono and T. Baba, in: Catalysis, Vol. 1, ed. J.J. Spivey (The Royal Society of Chemistry, London, 2000) Ch. 1. For a monograph [3] K. Tanabe, M. Misono, Y. Ono and H. Hattori, New Solid Acids and Bases (Kodansha-Elsevier, Tokyo, 1989).

Footnotes should be avoided whenever possible and (if any) integrated in the text.

Review Process

All manuscripts will be subject to peer review by at least two expert referees.

Research Data Policy

This journal operates a type 1 research data policy. The journal encourages authors, where possible and applicable, to deposit data that support the findings of their research in a public repository. Authors and editors who do not have a preferred repository should consult Springer Nature’s list of repositories and research data policy.

List of Repositories

Research Data Policy

General repositories - for all types of research data - such as figshare and Dryad may also be used.

Datasets that are assigned digital object identifiers (DOIs) by a data repository may be cited in the reference list. Data citations should include the minimum information recommended by DataCite: authors, title, publisher (repository name), identifier.
