Instructions for Authors
Scope
Nuncius, the Journal of the Material and Visual History of Science (NUN), is a peer-reviewed, international, journal devoted to the historical role of material and visual culture in science. Nuncius explores the material sources of scientific endeavor, such as scientific instruments and collections, the specific settings of experimental practice, and the interactions between sciences and arts. The materiality of science is a fundamental source for the understanding of its history, and the visual representation of its concepts and objects is equally crucial. Nuncius focuses on the exploration of increasingly-varied modes of visual description of observed reality. Founded in 1976, Nuncius was originally published as Annali dell'Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza. A rich review section covers the main contributions to the field.
Online Submission
Nun uses online submission only. Authors should submit their manuscript via the Editorial Manager (EM) online submission system at: editorialmanager.com/nun. First-time users of EM need to register first. Go to the website and click on the "Register Now" link in the login menu. Enter the information requested.
During registration, you can fill in your username and password.
