Cognitive Neuropsychology is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Cognitive Neuropsychology accepts the following types of article:

Short Report
Commentaries

Open Access

Preparing Your Paper
All authors submitting to medicine, biomedicine, health sciences, allied and public health journals should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Article Types
Research Article
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)
Should contain an unstructured abstract of 150 words.
Should contain between 4 and 8 keywords. Read making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
Research articles describe original research that provides substantial empirical support for novel inferences about cognitive organization, processes or representations. There is no word or figure limit for research articles.
Short Report
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)
Should be no more than 3500 words, inclusive of:
Abstract
Figure or table captions
Endnotes
Should contain an unstructured abstract of 150 words.
Should contain between 4 and 8 keywords. Read making your article more discoverable, including information on choosing a title and search engine optimization.
Short Reports are brief research articles that communicate original empirical findings. They may include new reports replicating rare and theoretically significant case studies. Short Reports will be held to the same quality standards as full-length articles. Short Reports may be no more than 3,500 words, including endnotes, figure captions, table captions and abstract, but excluding references.
