Author Guidelines
Manuscripts
Starting with 2017, we encourage especially the submission of theoretical and innovative articles, from the perspective of fundamental research, proposing novel approaches of the topic. Among the articles in social sciences, we encourage the publication of articles approaching the subject matter from a qualitative rather than quantitative angle. The typical article will range among 5000-6000 words, and the book reviews among 1500-2000 words.
All materials should be sent via e-mail, as an attachment, to s_c_i_r_i@yahoo.com or via the online submission system (above).
There is no fee for the publication of articles or book reviews in the journal.
Articles
Articles submitted for publication normally range from 5000 to 6000 words, written in English. We prefer well-documented articles that use, in their argumentation, more than 25 distinct bibliographical sources. Articles should be original papers and must not have been previously published or be pending publication elsewhere.
Texts must be accompanied by:
- an abstract (15 lines),
- up to 10 key words,
- the author's biographical information (professional title, didactic position, institutional affiliation, contact information, and email address),
- a list of the author's main publications (1/2 page).
Materials should be sent either via e-mail, as an attachment, formatted as Microsoft Word at s_c_i_r_i at yahoo dot com The text should use the Times New Roman font, 12 pt, single-spaced. The text can be sent also via the online submission system.
The editors advise you to consult with a native English speaker concerning the fluency of your text before sending it.
Starting with 2017, bibliographic references should be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (author-date-page system). Please do not send the text to JSRI before consulting the Chicago Manual of Style and editing the text and the references accordingly. See the examples of Chicago-Style Citation at this link.
Texts that do not follow this format will be returned to authors.?
Reviews
Texts should range from 1500 and 2000 words. The text should have its own title, rather than merely giving the title of the book reviewed.
Texts must be accompanied by:
- the full bibliographic details of the book reviewed;
- up to 10 key words;
- the author's biographical information (professional title, didactic position, institutional affiliation, contact information, and email address);
- a list of the author's main publications (1/2 page),
