1. SUBMISSION
Thank you for your interest in Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis.
Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis does not charge a submission fee.
Authors should kindly note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief abstract in the proceedings of a scientific meeting or symposium.

2. AIMS AND SCOPE
Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis publishes original articles on newly developing modes of technology and laboratory assays, with emphasis on their application in current and future clinical laboratory testing. This includes reports from the following fields: immunochemistry and toxicology, hematology and hematopathology, immunopathology, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, genetic testing, immunohematology, and clinical chemistry.
3. MANUSCRIPT CATEGORIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, brief reports, case reports, letters to the editor and consensus.

Parts of the Manuscript
The manuscript file should be presented in the following order:
(i) title page;
(ii) abstract;
(iii) key words;
(iv) main text;
(v) references;
(vi) tables (each table complete with title and footnotes); and
(vii) figure legends.
Figures should be supplied as separate files.
Title page
The title page should contain:
(i) a short informative title that contains the major key words. The title should not contain abbreviations (see Wiley’s best practice SEO tips)
(ii) the full names of all authors and the details of their affiliated institution at the time the work was carried out
(iii) a short running title (no more than 40 characters, abbreviations are permitted)
The present address of any author, if different from that where the work was carried out, should be supplied in a footnote.
Structured Abstract
The abstract should be divided into the following sections Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion. It should not exceed 250 words. The substance of it should be factual and comprehensive on its own. It should be sectioned into Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
Key Words
List five to ten key words that will adequately index the subject matter.
Organization of Text
Text should be divided into the following sections: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion.
References
References follow the Vancouver style, i.e. numbered sequentially as they occur in the text and ordered numerically in the reference list.
All citations mentioned in the text, tables or figures must be listed in the reference list.
If cited in tables or figure legends, number according to the first identification of the table or figure in the text.
Reference to unpublished data and personal communications should not appear in the list but should be cited in the text only (e.g. Smith A, 2000, unpublished data).
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the references.
Submissions are not required to reflect the precise reference formatting of the journal (use of italics, bold etc.), however it is important that all key elements of each reference are included. Please see below for examples of reference content requirements.
