methodology 指做某事的方法系统及准则，它是特定知识的一个惯例、程序、和规则。

而 method 指的是技术或程序。

因为 methodology 指的是使用的过程与原因，所以没法像 method 那样令人印象深刻的用于各种形式。
if v.s. whether
whether 通常是用在讨论选项为 2 的时候。

如上例，or not 意指暗示或理解，可省略。

if 则是在条件语句中使用，也就是表达状态或可能会或不会发生的事件。

older v.s. elder
older 和 oldest 这 2 个形容词经常用来形容人、动物、东西的年纪，older 是表示某人、动物、物体的年纪比另一位大，而 oldest 是表示某个体的年纪在大于 3 个人、动物、东西的团体里是最大的。

They are older than all the other participants
He is the oldest student in the class.
另一方面，elder 和 eldest 是特定用在比较家人间的年纪。

She is the eldest of three siblings.
elder 这个字也用在专业关系中，作为 senior 的代名词。
