标题Title是一篇论文最重要的、浓缩的信息点，是读者最先直接看到的信息，也是审稿人对论文好坏的第一个判断因素。好的标题，能更快引起读者的兴趣，也能让期刊编辑对论文产生较好的第一印象。
最佳的SCI论文标题需要满足以下几点要求：
简洁
Title要尽量简洁，应以最少的文字概括尽可能多的内容，删弃多余的词语。语句过长影响阅读效率，且会使人得不到鲜明的印象，难以记忆和引证。但也有学者认为不可一味求短，太短容易导致题目含混不清或者对阐释论文主旨毫无作用。综合来看，title字数最好在10~12单词，一般不超过20单词，有调查发现，标题长度与论文的引用率成负相关。
注意：很多杂志对title字数有特定要求，应仔细阅读杂志的“作者投稿须知”，不要超出字数的限制。
准确
Title首先要准确表达论文内容，并高度代表论文的中心思想；
其次要反应文章特色，例如研究点与前人的区别所在；
同时要包含论文的关键词，最好能从整个title推测出基本的实验及结果。

右边title表明了该文的研究内容，但结论却难以推测，该研究的结论得出可能需要较大的样本量[1]。

规范
论文title 虽然简短，但却有不少规范化要求。
时态 SCI 论文title的时态为一般现在时，因为论文研究的目标、内容、方法以及研究结果等，通常表示现在存在的状态、客观事实或普遍真理。
用词 Title不能用带有修辞的文学语言；开头第一个字尽量不用冠词（包括定冠词the、不定冠词a和an）；通常由名词性短语构成，如果出现动词，多为分词或动名词形式。这些词或短语与论文的关键词、摘要以及正文密切相关，具有总结全文的作用。
避免使用非标准的缩写和符号，使用和选取的单词和语句必须是业内专家都普遍理解的术语或短语。此外，论文题目必须考虑到有助于选定关键词、编制题录、索引等，可以为二次文献提供检索的特定实用信息。
语句结构 Title虽然是以句子的形式描述文章的注意内容，但不需要是一个完整的句子，即无需主、谓、宾等完整结构，这能使title更为简洁，不过要注意词序。词序不当，可能会让读者误解title乃至整篇论文的真正含意。
尽量不使用陈述句式的title，陈述句易使标题具有判断式的语意，同时也不简洁。同时要避免提问式title，这种标题容易出现一些多余的问题词和标记，例如"when docs... ? ", "Should the?", "Is it... "等。当然更糟糕的是，这样的title给信息检索带来不便。

如果论文的title确实需要包含疑问，那么可以采用疑问词+动词不定式的形式，例如左边的句式。[3]
SCI论文title可能需要有类似公众号推文标题那种吸引力，但不需要用多余的符号来迷惑读者，只有让读者明白论文解决了什么问题，然后才有欲望进一步探看如何解决这一问题。
如何写好SCI论文标题？
提了这么多要求，那么具体该怎样去拟定论文的标题呢？
让我们以Nature近期的一篇关于新冠病毒肺炎的论文为例，结合上述要求，参考以下5个步骤来分析一个好的Title是怎样写出来的！
示例Title：
Population flow drives spatio-temporal distribution of COVID-19 in China
步骤1：列出几个关于论文的问题
提出一些关于论文的问题，并作出简要回答。
问题1：研究内容是什么？
"We tracked population flow date to develop a spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model in the context of the outbreak of COVID-19 in China and the rest of the world."
问题2：用了什么方法？
"We used nationwide mobile phone data to track population outflow from Wuhan and linked this to COVID-19 infection counts by location—at the prefecture level."
问题3：研究对象是什么？
"11,478,484 counts of mobile phone data from individuals leaving or transiting through the prefecture of Wuhan between 1 January and 24 January 2020 as they moved to 296 prefectures throughout mainland China"
问题4：研究结果如何？
“The spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model not only to forecast the distribution of confirmed cases, but also to identify regions that have a high risk of transmission at an early stage；the model yields a benchmark trend and an index for assessing the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 over time for different locations."
步骤2：从上述回答中列出关键词和短语
关键词：population flow date;
spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model;
COVID-19;
mobile phone data;
Wuhan，China;
distribution of confirmed cases.

步骤3：以这些关键词写一个总结的长句
"We developed a spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model that leverages population flow data from Wuhan to forecast the distribution of confirmed cases and identify regions that have a high risk of transmission at an early stage in the context of the outbreak of COVID-19 in China"
步骤4：删去不必要的词,连接其他词
"We developed a spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model that leverages population flow data from Wuhan to forecast the distribution of confirmed cases and identify regions that have a high risk of transmissionat an early stage in the context of the outbreak of COVID-19 in China"
重组句：
”Spatio-temporal ‘risk source’ model that leverages population flow data to forecast the distribution of COVID-19 in China"
步骤5：删繁就简，优化标题
可以看出上述句子仍不算一个好的标题，语言结构不够简洁。因此，最后需要根据整体的语意对句子进行优化重组。
最终标题：
Population flow drives spatio-temporal distribution of COVID-19 in China
依据上述步骤拟定标题，思路是不是变清晰了呢？
信息时代，标题党无所不在,一个有足够吸引力的标题才能让读者停下滑动的拇指。然而SCI论文是严谨的，只有满足了专业要求的title，才是好title！
