SCI写作中数字什么时候只能写英文不能写阿拉伯数字？

在SCI写作中数字是最常出现的，初学的时候，SCI中的阿拉伯数字和英文写法一开始以为是可以随意切换的，但后来随着一些审稿人的建议和一些SCI写作的教程发现，数字的写法是有讲究的。

0 至 9 的整数用英文，≥10的数字可以用阿拉伯数字

Numerals from 0 to 9 must be spelled out unless they are associated with units of measurement like years, kg etc or with a numerical scaling or grading system.

0 至 9 的数字必须拼写出来，除非与计量单位（如年、公斤等）或数字比例或分级系统有关。

The study included three patients.

The study included 300 patients.

有小数点和单位的数字用阿拉伯数字

The average age of patients was 68.1±10 years

在句子开头的时候一定用英文数字，不用阿拉伯数字

此外，最好不用数字开头一句话

300 patients were included in the study. (错误)

Three hundred patients were included in the study. (正确，但是不太好)

The study included 300 patients. (正确，最好把数字放在句中，不放在句子开头  )

小于1的数字的单位用单数，大于1的数字的单位用复数

0.25 second

1.25 seconds

0 后面的单位用复数

Zero grams; 0 grams

我印象比较深的之前犯的一个错误，就是criterion 这个单词+数量词的单复数使用，当时的错误类型堪比排列组合 C42

One criterion（正确）

Zero criteria （正确）
