Acta Musicologica《音乐学报》（半年刊）. Acta Musicologica published by the International Musicological Society (IMS), is one of the world’s oldest and most renowned musicological journals. Emphasis is placed on methodological cooperation between all musicological sub-disciplines as well as on the integration of related fields. Acta publishes up to twelve articles per year on an ongoing basis. Contributions can be submitted at any time.

Arti musices《音乐艺术》（半年刊）. Arti musices is the only specialized scholarly journal in the field of musicology in Croatia. It has been published continously since 1969 in Zagreb. Presenting the results of the researches of Croatian musical heritage and musical-culturological room in general, over 300 papers of the prominent authors from Croatia and abroad, and series of reports, bibliographies, sources, reviews, discoveries, summaries of M.A. and Ph.D. theses in musicology as well as other contributions have been published so far. 

Asian Music《亚洲音乐》（半年刊）. Asian Music welcomes articles on all aspects of the performing arts of Asia. The journal is refereed; all articles receive consideration by at least two readers. Preferred length is 10,000 – 12,000 words. Contributors of essays will receive 2 copies of the issue in which their essay appears.

Anuario Musical《音乐年刊》（年刊）. Anuario Musical fué fundada en 1946 por Higinio Anglés, director del entonces llamado ¿Instituto Español de Musicología¿ del CSIC, es la decana entre las publicaciones periódicas dedicadas a la Musicología en España. El contenido de la revista consiste en artículos de investigación musicológica, tanto en las vertientes de Musicología histórica y estudio de las fuentes musicales, como en el área de la Etnomusicología, la práctica musical, la organología, etc., es decir, todos los campos de la Musicología.

Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education《音乐教育研究委员会通报》（季刊）. The Bulletin is a peer-reviewed journal that contains research, and reviews of books of interest to the international music education profession. It provides an outlet for scholarly publication and is one of music educations leading publications. 

Cambridge Opera Journal《剑桥歌剧杂志》（一年3期）. Containing lively and provocative essays, Cambridge Opera Journal has a well-established reputation for publishing first-rate scholarship on opera in all its manifestations. The Journal not only contains material on all aspects of the European canon, it has now widened its scope to publish high-quality essays on American opera and musical theatre, on non-Western music theatres, on contemporary works. Carefully researched and often illustrated with music examples and pictures, articles adopt a wide spectrum of critical approaches. As well as major articles, each issue generally includes reviews of recent publications of importance in the field.

Archiv fur Musikwissenschaft《音乐科学文献集》（季刊）. Since 1918, Archiv für Musikwissenschaft is one of the leading German periodicals for musicology. Articles in German and English deal with topics from all musical periods, including ancient music, medieval songs as well as contemporary compositions. The periodical focuses on the development of European music in a historical as well as a systematic context, always aware of the individuality and creativity of each single musical piece. It is the editors aim to create a forum for the discussion of musicological research as well as to contribute to current debates of new developments.

Early Music《早期音乐》（季刊）. Early Music is a stimulating and richly illustrated journal, and is unrivalled in its field. Founded in 1973, it remains the leading journal for anyone interested in early music and how it is being interpreted today. Contributions from scholars and performers of international standing explore every aspect of earlier musical repertories, present vital new evidence for our understanding of the music of the past, and tackle controversial issues of performance practice.

Early Music History《早期音乐史》（年刊）. Early Music History is devoted to the study of music from the early Middle Ages to the end of the seventeenth century. It gives preference to studies pursuing interdisciplinary approaches and to those developing new methodological ideas. The scope is broad and includes manuscript studies, textual criticism, iconography, studies of the relationship between words and music, and the relationship between music and society.

Eighteenth-Century Music《十八世纪音乐》（半年刊）. Eighteenth-Century Music is a well-established journal dedicated to all areas of eighteenth-century music research. Its generous breadth of coverage includes, alongside articles and essays by both leading and emerging scholars, a wide range of reviews and a communications section that reports on conferences and other items of interest from around the world.
