About the Journal
IISE Transactions is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
IISE Transactions accepts the following types of article: original articles.
As the flagship journal of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, IISE Transactions publishes original high-quality papers on a wide range of topics of interest to industrial engineers who want to remain current with the state-of-the-art technologies. The refereed journal aims to foster a rich exchange among researchers and practitioners of the industrial engineering community by publishing papers with a strong methodological focus motivated by real problems that impact engineering practice and research. Published monthly, the journal is composed of four focused issues: Design and Manufacturing; Data Science, Quality and Reliability; Operations Engineering and Analytics; and Supply Chain and Logistics.

Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 30 pages, inclusive of:

Figure or table captions
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use double quotation marks, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation”.
Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
Formatting and Templates
Keep articles as brief as possible. The maximum length is 30 pages. Use 11 point font, 1 inch margins, and double-spacing for the manuscript including references, tables, figures and appendices. Do not use footnotes.
Papers may be submitted in Word or LaTeX formats. To assist you in preparing your paper, we provide formatting templates. Word template and LaTex template.
