COVID-19 impact on peer review
As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we understand that many authors and peer reviewers will be making adjustments to their professional and personal lives. As a result they may have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process. Please let the journal editorial office know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be flexible.

Ironmaking & Steelmaking is an international, peer reviewed journal, publishing high-quality, original research, publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal’s Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
This journal accepts the following article types:
Research articles report research and practice, typically 3500 words in length plus figures and tables.
Short communications are for preliminary announcements of the results of current work, or short accounts of new techniques: typically 1000–1500 words in length with, at most, four figures and/or tables.
Reviews should deal with their subject in a broad perspective, examining the current position critically and comprehensively; these are typically 4000–5000 words in length plus figures and tables, and well referenced. The word count is a guideline only and longer reviews will be considered as appropriate.

The journal publishes special issues focusing on topics of current interest. Proposals for special issues are welcome and should be addressed to the editors: norriemcpherson1@hotmail.com; R.Boom@tudelft.nl
Open Access
You have the option to publish open access in this journal via our Open Select publishing program.
