Geomicrobiology Journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Geomicrobiology Journal accepts the following types of article: original articles.
Open Access

Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper. There are no word limits for papers in this journal.
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use single quotation marks, except where ‘a quotation is “within” a quotation’. Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
All papers must follow the Council of Biology Editors Style Manual (CBE). Systeme International (SI) or modern metric units are used. Stable hydrogen, carbon and oxygen isotoperatio data should be reported in accordance with the official IUPAC recommendations found in Pure. Appl. Chem. vol. 66, pp. 273-276 and 2423-2444 (1994). Nonstandard abbreviations should be defined at first mention. Standard abbreviations (refer to the CBE Style Manual) do not require definition.
Formatting and Templates
Papers may be submitted in Word format. Figures should be saved separately from the text. To assist you in preparing your paper, we provide formatting template(s).
