Instructions for Authors
Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
The timeframe for review of manuscripts is 3-6 months.
Review process and resubmissions
Based upon the assessment of the Editors-in-Chief, and/or a member of the editorial board, a paper is either rejected outright, or sent to review by typically two or more anonymous referees. If the latter, based on these reports, and the editor's opinion, the Editor-in-Chief will assign one of four categories to the manuscript: Accept As Is ,Minor Revisions Needed, Major Revisions Needed, or Reject. If Minor or Major Revisions, another round of review is typically performed, and there is the possibility of further revision, of eventual rejection, or of acceptance.
Final acceptance requires the availability of the source files. Manuscripts that have been rejected from this journal will not normally be considered for resubmission. To be considered, any resubmission should be substantially different from the rejected manuscript, and these differences should be clearly explained in the cover letter. The journal may reject outright such resubmissions without review.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
