    美国放射肿瘤学会成立于1958年，是世界上首屈一指的放射肿瘤学组织。拥有超过10000名会员，包括医生、护士、生物学家、物理学家、放疗技师和其他从事放射治疗专业的医疗保健专业人士。作为放着肿瘤学的主要组织，致力于通过专业的教育和培训来提高对患者的会水平，支持临床实践和健康政策标准，促进科学研究和宣传。年会是肿瘤学最重要的会议之一，来自世界各地的放射肿瘤学相关专业的专家学者聚集一堂，就放射肿瘤学临床研究、物理技术及设备、放射生物学探索等最新进展进行了全面交流。
