《呼吸与危重症医学(英文)》(Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine,简称CMJ-PCCM)是国家新闻出版署批准出版的正式学术刊物(ISSN2097-1982CN10-1838/R)。本刊由中国科学技术协会主管,中华医学会主办,总编为著名呼吸病学专家王辰院士。

CMJ PCCM是《中华医学杂志英文版》的第一本子刊,旨在汇聚前沿学术成果,凝聚顶尖科学力量,创办一本在呼吸与危重症医学领域具有较大国际影响力的期刊。2020CMJ PCCM获得中国科技期刊卓越行动计划高起点新刊项目支持。杂志以立足前沿、追求新知为办刊宗旨,以编委队伍为核心引擎力量,以全球视野谋求期刊发展,以卓越品质引领学术潮流,力图打造呼吸与危重症领域的世界一流科技期刊。

Introduction

Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open access journal which publishes high-quality clinical and basic research, review, and commentary articles on all aspects of respiratory and critical care medicine. The journal provides an international platform for pulmonary physicians and researchers across the globe to present cutting-edge original research, insightful perspective and state-of-the-art reviews and to promote, share and discuss new advancements in all relevant areas.

Topics of specific interest include but are not limited to asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, infectious respiratory diseases, tracheo-bronchitis, pulmonary critical care, pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary embolism and pulmonary vascular diseases, sleep-related respiratory problems, smoking related lung disease, pleural disease, and interventional pulmonology.

Types of article

Original Article: These articles are expected to be original, innovative, and significant, including medical and basic research. The real-world medical research rules and clinical assessment of the usefulness and reliability are recommended for those medical research. The full text is about 6,000 words, with structured abstract of 300 words including Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

Editorial: Written by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, editorial board members, or prestigious invited scientists and policy makers on a broad range of topics from science to policy. Editorials can be up to 2000 words in length with no more than 25 references.

Review Article: Extensive reviews of the recent progress in specific areas of science, involving historical reviews, recent advances made by scientists internationally, and perspective for future development; the full text is about 5,000-6,000 words. Descriptive abstract is needed, about 200-300 words.

Systematic Review: Written by individuals who have done substantial work on the subject or are considered experts in the field. The prescribed word count is about 5000 words excluding tables, references and abstract. The manuscript may have about 90 references. The Systematic Review should have a structured abstract (350 words) representing an accurate summary of the article. The section titles would depend upon the topic reviewed. Authors submitting systematic review articles should include a section describing the methods used for searching, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data. These abstracts should also be structured as follows: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

Meta Analysis: Only results of meta analysis are reported in this kind of article. The length of the article is about 5000 words (not including tables, figures, and references). The meta analysis should have the following headings: Keywords, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables, Figures, and Legends in that order. The abstracts should also be structured as follows: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

Perspective: Personal opinions, hypotheses, or views on controversial issues are welcome. The length of text should be about 1500-2000 words and the abstract about 250 words with 10 or fewer references.

Clinical Guideline: Official recommendations from professional organizations on issues related to clinical practice and health care delivery. The journal is flexible with length, references, and other format requirements given the variability in the format of guidelines developed by different organizations. A concise table or concise graphic summarizing the recommendations and other key points is desirable. Guidelines that meet standards (http://www.equator-network.org/) will fare more favorably than those that do not.

Correspondence: The text is limited to no more than 1500 words without abstract and key words, 5 or fewer references, and a maximum of 1 table or figure. Declaration of patient consent must be stated if the paper contains patient information.
