About the project
PhD research fellow in Suicide Prevention Research
Applications are invited for a 3-year position in a research fellowship as PhD candidate in suicide prevention research to be based at National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NSSF) at the University of Oslo. The research fellow will join the register-based research group studying suicide and deliberate self-harm with data from Norwegian population registers, and specifically work on the funded project addressing suicide in men of middle and old age.
NSSF is a part of the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Division of Mental Health and Addiction at the University of Oslo. NSSF is the leading centre in the field of suicide research and prevention in Norway with its main activities focusing on clinical and epidemiological research, education, and dissemination of knowledge. The centre has an active cooperation with similar research centres internationally. The centre provides several types of psychotherapy training, offers courses in clinical suicidology, and operates several websites and a peer-reviewed journal “Suicidologi”.
Qualification requirements
The candidate must hold an MD or a Master’s degree in Psychology, Statistics, or equivalent
Good knowledge in epidemiology, biostatistics and population study
Some knowledge in clinical psychology or psychiatry
Strong interest in suicide research and highly motivated for research
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
Experience with statistical software such as SAS, R, or Stata is advantageous
Proficiency in Norwegian or other Scandinavian language is considered as an advantage

导师简介
郭毅可教授,英国皇家工程院院士,香港科技大学首席副校长。郭教授自2002年起担任英国帝国理工学院计算系教授并于2014年起担任帝国理工资料科学研究所所长。他也是欧洲科学院院士 (MAE),英国电脑学会院士 (FBCS)。郭教授于1985年获得清华大学计算科学一级荣誉学位,1993年获得帝国理工学院计算机科学博士学位。1999年,郭教授创立了帝国学院衍生企业数据分析平台公司InforSense Limited,专门从事生命科学和医学的大资料分析。他有丰富的创业与工业界合作的经验。
郭教授的主要研究兴趣在于机器学习和大规模资料管理领域,并为许多重大研究专案作出了贡献。他现在是英国和欧洲的几个主要资料科学专案的研究者,包括Idea-Fast 4700万欧元 神经退行性疾病的生物标记探索研究项目。郭教授发表了超过250篇学术研究文章。他曾在2002年国际超级计算会议获 “最具创新奖”;2014年获国际生物信工业的顶级会议Bio-IT World 的 “最佳实践奖”;2017年获美国ACM SIGMM多媒体专委会年度”最佳开源软件奖”。
岗位职责
1.对上述单个研究领域进行研究,在顶级会议和期刊发表论文,撰写专利(Postdoc, PhD);
2. 辅助设计及实现实用系统,与艺术家合作实现人机共生表(PhD, RA);
3. 为艺术数据构建数据爬虫、数据库系统、nft(RA);
4. 辅助指导PhD及RA,撰写相关项目文档(Postdoc)。

2. 熟悉pytorch/tensorflow等深度学习框架,代码功底扎实;

About the project
PhD and Postdoctoral Positions in Functional Genomics of Mitochondrial Stress (m/f/x)
in Großhadern/Martinsried
You will use cutting-edge tools in the areas of functional genomics, synthetic biology, biochemistry and cellular biology to unlock the inner workings of mitochondrial stress signaling in the human system. This includes genome-wide forward genetic screening based on flow cytometry, precision CRISPR genome engineering, in-organello experimentation, and the development of new cell-based assays no one is thinking of today. Your goal will be to uncover novel pathways and genetic networks that protect the cell's most precious organelle (mitochondria) from harm and decipher their molecular modes of operation. Your project will be highly interdisciplinary and offer ample opportunities for collaborations with world-leading experts in different areas of biology.
Your qualifications

Required qualifications
Outstanding degree (MSc for PhD candidates; PhD for Postdocs) in the area of biomedicine, molecular medicine, biochemistry, biology, or similar
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (written and oral)
Solid experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques (mammalian cell culture, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, PCR, immunoblotting)
Prior experience in genetics (CRISPR)
Basic experience with data processing, analysis and biostatistics
Desirable qualifications
Expertise in bioinformatics (SQL, python, R, bash)
Prior experience in genome-wide screening techniques
Experience with recombinant protein expression and in vitro biochemistry
