项目介绍
Structural failure in the aerospace, civil and energy sectors can be life threatening for users/passengers and financially catastrophic for operators and the manufacturer.
This is the main reason for which critical structures (i.e. aircrafts, wind turbines etc.) spend large part of their life cycle under inspection with the accompanied costs being significant.
On-line detection and characterization of minor failures within complex (composite as well as 3D printed) structures can lead to a radical reduction of this cost and eventually cheaper and safer transport and energy production.
工作职责
该职位是鲁汶大学机械工程系的一个全额资助的全职博士职位，成功候选人将隶属于鲁汶大学著名的 Noise and Vibration Research 小组并在该小组工作，为复杂的工业结构开发强大的损伤识别工具做出重大贡献。
工作地点在根特技术校区（Ghent Technology Campus），并定期访问和使用鲁汶主校区的全部设备。
