Lab introduction:
Laboratory of AI and Biomedical Science (LABS) will be created in January 2023 at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). The lab will be under the umbrella of LONI (https://www.loni.usc.edu/), which has been performing frontier research in brain imaging and neuroscience for decades.
Dr. Junhao Wen (https://www.junhaowen.com/) will start his independent research program as an assistant professor at USC starting on the 1st of January, 2023.
Research directions:
The broad research interests of LABS are developing and applying statistical and machine learning methodologies to “big data” in neuroimaging and genomics for aging and brain disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease. In particular, this postdoc search emphasizes utilizing advanced AI techniques and multi-omics data, including brain MRI, genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, to solve clinically relevant problems. All relevant directions can be pursued based on discussions.
Requirement:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related disciplines;
Experience in Linux, Python, and R;
Experience in neuroimaging, machine learning, and/or genomics/genetics is encouraged;
