Are you ambitious to contribute to the carbon-neutral cities and the revolution of the AEC industry? Join us!

We are looking for highly motivated students with a strong background in sustainable architecture, urban design, zero-energy building, or other related disciplines. Students with interests in building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) systems, climate-adaptive façade systems, daylight and colour design in built environments, and carbon-neutral buildings and communities are encouraged to apply.

The PhD projects will be highly cross-disciplinary, having the potential to cooperate with research teams in ISD/HKUST, and other outstanding research institutes in the world (HKUST GZ, NTNU, EPFL, HIT SZ, PKU SZ, etc.). There are also opportunities to conduct collaboration with leading PV and AEC industrial partners in China and abroad. Up to 2 positions will be provided for enrollment in Fall 2022, accepted students will be offered with Postgraduate Studentship (PGS).
