About the Project

KaHo Leung Group at Clarkson University is an interdisciplinary research team. Using the principles and techniques of Nanotechnology, Chemical Biology and Bioanalytical Chemistry, we develop nanodevices to image specific cellular organelles and elucidate their biological function. Our ultimate goal is to leverage new technologies to gain a fundamental understanding of cell physiology and treat human disease.

The lab is currently seeking a PhD student to serve as a Research Assistant to help develop chloride imaging tools for studying chloride physiology.

Graduate Research Assistantships (RAs) involve about 40 hours of work each week. Qualifications include admission to the PhD and good to excellent command of the English language.

Clarkson’s main campus is located in Potsdam, New York, on the historic 640-acre wooded homestead of the Clarkson family in the foothills of the Adirondack Park. With roughly 15,000+ year-round residents, the Village of Potsdam is nestled along the Raquette River in the heart of St. Lawrence County.

Clarkson University’s International Center will provide visa support in the event the selected candidate is a non-US citizen. (English proficiency test is required for international students)
