ICHTHYOLOGICAL RESEARCH《鱼类学研究》（季刊）. Ichthyological Research is an official journal of the Ichthyological Society of Japan and is published quarterly in January, April, July, and November. The journal primarily publishes research papers on original work, either descriptive or experimental, that advances the understanding of the diversity of fishes. Ichthyological Research strives to cover all aspects of fish biology, including taxonomy, systematics, evolution, biogeography, ecology, ethology, genetics, morphology, and physiology.
Ichthyological Research also publishes timely reviews and commentary on recent progress in active areas of research on fish biology.
GAYANA（半年刊）. Gayana is related to all aspects of research in zoology and oceanography of South America. The specific topics covered by Gayana are based on original works and investigations and revision articles on taxonomy, systematics, philogenia, biogeography and oceanology. Evolutive aspects are considered within these topics based on morphology, physiology, ecology and paleontology.

Faunistic lists, letters and results of general surveys are not published unless they shed light on herpetological problems of wider significance.

Since 1982, Herpetological Monographs has been dedicated to original research about the biology, diversity, systematics and evolution of amphibians and reptiles. Herpetological Monographs is published annually as a supplement to Herpetologica and contains long research papers, manuscripts and special symposia that synthesize the latest scientific discoveries.
