Instructions for Authors
1. CHOOSE YOUR SECTION
1) Theories and Methodologies.
This section presents an original theoretical framework or a related methodology that may guide certain research and practices within a field. The article’s contribution to related works is specified.
2) Syntheses
This critical section evaluates the different perspectives used to examine a chosen theme and illustrates the connections between these perspectives. The scope is not confined to the works of a limited scientific community. When a theme is examined by different disciplines, the synthesis should be multidisciplinary.
3) Empirical research
Here, you’ll find research articles presenting detailed analyses of data collected in a theoretical and methodological perspective that is briefly, but clearly, defined.
4) Projects and Practices
Projects with an ergonomic perspective for improving work conditions are featured here. When possible, validations of achievements and the contributions made to other achievements in the same field are reported.
5) Techniques
This section presents techniques for work analysis (data collection tools, for example) or for the design of work situations (such as interfaces, expert systems, etc.).
6) Pedagogical documents
Course materials related to disciplines within the scope of the journal are published here.
The journal accepts manuscripts in French and English. A submitted manuscript must be no longer than 25 pages (between 3,800 and 4,000 characters per page) total
Each manuscript must be anonymously submitted and sent by two experts, including an assessment guide. The names of experts are not communicated to authors (unless these experts do not wish to remain anonymous). The list of consulted experts that are not part of the peer-review committee is annually published. It takes two to three months to conduct the first review of a manuscript, following which (in the case of a request to revise) authors have four months to improve their manuscript.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Le Travail Humain is a subscription-based journal. It does not charge contributors a publication fee. Regrettably, ill-intentioned people involved in counterfeiting and hijacking routinely attempt to charge authors for publishing in Le Travail Humain.
