MOLECULAR CYTOGENETICS
Aims and scope
One of the world’s leading journals dedicated to cytogenetics and cytogenomics, Molecular Cytogenetics encompasses all aspects of chromosome biology and the application of molecular cytogenetic techniques in biology and medicine. Topic of interest include structural and functional organization of the chromosome and nucleus, genome variation, expression and evolution, chromosome abnormalities and genomic variations in medical genetics and tumor genetics. Molecular Cytogenetics is the official journal of the European Cytogeneticists Association.
Fees and funding
Article-processing charges
Open access publishing is not without costs. Molecular Cytogenetics therefore levies an article-processing charge of £2090.00/$2990.00/€2490.00 for each article accepted for publication, plus VAT or local taxes where applicable.
If the corresponding author's institution participates in our open access membership program, some or all of the publication cost may be covered (more details available on the membership page). We routinely waive charges for authors from low-income countries. For other countries, article-processing charge waivers or discounts are granted on a case-by-case basis to authors with insufficient funds. Copyright on any open access article in a journal published by BioMed Central is retained by the author(s).
Authors grant BioMed Central a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
