ORIGINI

Guidelines for contributors

1) The manuscript should be in 12 point Times New Roman font and should not exceed 80.000 characters (with spaces and bibliography included) plus maximum 15 full-page illustrations. The text should be justified. Paragraphs must not be indented from the left margin. Words must not be divided at the end of a line.

2) Authors should supply their full name, address, e-mail, telephone number, as well as the name of the Institution they belong to.

3) All texts must be presented in their final draft and readable form. Under no circumstances will substantial alterations, which would affect the cost of printing, be accepted after the first proofs.

4) The Author(s) must provide an abstract in English of 1000 characters and 4 key-words.

5) For internal titles and subtitles small capital types and italics should respectively be used. No boldface is accepted. Words in a language different from that used in the text should be in italics.

6) Figures and tables should be quoted in the text as follows: (fig. 1: 5, 7-8); (figs. 2: 3; 4); (fig. 2, a); (Tab. 1).

7) Quotations should be in the text as follows:

(Binford 1978); (Wendorf 1968: 954-958); (Perlès 2004: fig. 15, 2) (Binford ed. 1976); (Campbell, Fletcher 2010); (Guilaine et alii 2003) for more than 2 authors. All references listed must be cited in the text.

FOOT-NOTES: Since bibliographical quotations appear in the text, foot-notes will only have an explanatory content with reference to the text. They should be numbered consecutively, throughout each work and contribution.

Acknowledgements, if any, should appear at the end of the text, before bibliography.

ILLUSTRATIONS:

Illustrations, including photographs, charts, diagrams, maps etc. must be submitted as individual files and not be embedded in the text.

a) Tables

Tables and graphs should be submitted in their final form as separate Word files (for tables) or tiff at 300 dpi minimum (for graphs), taking into account the page size (18,5 x13 cm).

b) Figures (photos, drawings, maps)

Illustrations, normally in black and white, must be prepared according to the size of Origini, which is 13 x 18,5 cm. (captions included) for a full-page.

The illustrations should be high-quality tiff files (300 dpi minimum for photos and 600 dpi for drawings grey scale). The scale of figures must be specified.

List of captions should be at the end of the text, in a separate page. They should have, besides the title or description of the figure, the source of the image, when necessary. If you need permissions for illustration reproductions, please provide us with a copy of the permission.
