Algebraic Geometry
Preparing your paper for submission
Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts in the alggeom document class for LaTeX2e. It has been designed specifically to allow easy conversion from the article and amsart document classes. Simple instructions for converting to (or creating your article in) the alggeom class are contained in the author guide "Using the alggeom class file".
You may download the alggeom class file as a tar.gz or zip file. The archive contains the following files:
readme-ag.txt;
alggeom.cls (the alggeom document class);
agguide.tex (sample file and source code for the user guide);
agguide1.pdf (PDF version of the user guide).
After unpacking, follow the instructions in the file 'readme-ag.txt'. If the files fail to unpack, you probably already have them installed. In this case, if the supplied files are newer, we strongly recommend that you use the newer files. To do this, rename any existing file and unpack the distribution again.
The enclosed file agguide1.pdf is an example of how the titlepage will appear when your article is published. Note that the Algebraic Geometry logo and bibliographic information are displayed in a header at the top of the title page. The output that you may produce from the sample file agguide.tex is very similar, but does not include the title-page header or logo. These will be added later by production staff.
Algebraic Geometry prefers the submission of papers in LaTeX; however, papers submitted in TeX, AMSTeX, LAMSTeX and for conventional typesetting can also be accepted. Once your paper is accepted we require that you provide a TeX file in the alggeom document class. Only in exceptional cases we can allow papers in other TeX styles.
Please use the 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC) codes when submitting your paper. The 2010 MSC Codes are listed on the AMS website. Classification numbers should appear at the bottom of the first page of the manuscript. See the above guidelines for more information on our journal style.
Please report any problem with downloading, problems with this website or suggestions for improving these web instructions to the editorial offices of Algebraic Geometry at ag@algebraicgeometry.nl. Problems related to the LaTeX2e class file alggeom can be reported to the production office of the London Mathematical Society at production@lms.ac.uk.
