Specific Instructions
Short Communications - A short communication should not exceed four pages in print (approx. 2000-3000 words including abstract, captions and references). A maximum of two illustrations (figures and tables) is allowed. The title page should be prepared similar to other publications in this journal as outlined in the instructions for authors.
Meeting Reports – Please contact the journal before submitting your meeting report.
Journal Club – These discuss 1-3 high-quality papers that comprise significant advances in the field and published in journals other than Purinergic Signalling. Articles should not exceed 2,500 words, including references and should not contain any illustrations (figures or tables). The title page should be prepared similar to other publications in this journal as outlined in the instructions for authors. It should include an informative title (not just Journal Club) and be followed by a brief Article Summary then a Commentary for each paper discussed, which describes the data reported, highlights its relevance and importance and discusses any shortcomings and possible questions to be addressed in future. Authors are advised to email the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Charles Kennedy, (c.kennedy@strath.ac.uk) with a brief outline of their proposed article before preparing it.
