Letter to the Editor

Annals of Medicine is a general medical journal that aims to bridge the gap between translational medicine and clinical practice and to keep readers abreast of recent developments across all the major medical specialties. Research Articles are of interest to a general medical audience, especially those that have emphasis on pathogenesis and molecular mechanisms of disease with clear implications for clinical management and treatment. Clinical Studies report specifically on clinical trials or observational studies while Study Characteristics enable publication of protocols for planned or ongoing clinical studies. Review and Mini Review Articles are published regularly. Special Sections provide the latest knowledge on current themes and Supplements are often based on an international symposium.
