Carbon Neutral Systems publishes Review, Research, Brief Report, Comment and Perspective.
Review
This type of article has a maximum of 10,000 words (excluding references). Review articles intend to comprehensively summarize the state-of-the-art in carbon neutral issues. Consequently, review articles would analyze recent researches published by scholars in the field, identifying current gaps or conflicts and offering valuable references from the perspective of theory and practice.
Research
Research articles are required to be prepared with a maximum of 8,000 words (including tables, references, figure captions, and endnotes) and 12 images are required. Articles longer than 8000 words will be accepted on a very exceptional performance, and only if the Editors consider an extension is necessary to the topic.
Brief Report
This type of article is generally expected to complete in 2500-4500 words (including tables, references, figure captions, and endnotes). The manuscript should include an abstract, main body, and references, and contain no more than 6 figures or tables in total. The abstract is limited to 100 words.
Comment
Comments are short, narrowly focused articles of contemporary interest that are usually commissioned by the journal. Articles have a maximum of 1000 words and 10 references. Typically, figures or tables would not be presented in articles.
Perspective
Perspectives are usually between 2500 and 4500 words (including abstract, main text, references, and figure legends). Papers should have a concise title, an abstract with maximum of 50 words, no more than 35 references, and 2 figures (with figure legends) or tables in total.

Manuscript Submission
Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Online Submission
Please follow the hyperlink “Submit manuscript” and upload all of your manuscript files following the instructions given on the screen.
Source Files
Please ensure you provide all relevant editable source files at every submission and revision. Failing to submit a complete set of editable source files will result in your article not being considered for review. For your manuscript text please always submit in common word processing formats such as .docx or LaTeX.

Only the information submitted via the interface will be used in the final published version.
