About the Journal
The Journal of Asian Ceramic Societies is an Open Access international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Open Access means you can publish your research so it is free to access online as soon as it is published, meaning anyone can read (and cite) your work. Please see our guide to Open Access for more information. Many funders mandate publishing your research open access; you can check open access funder policies and mandates here.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
The Journal of Asian Ceramic Societies accepts the following types of article: Full Length Articles, Review Articles, Correspondence.
Article Publishing Charge
As of 1st April 2021, the following changes take place to the Article Publishing Charge (APC). APC only applies for those authors submitting new manuscripts after 1st April. For those authors who submitted prior to 1st April and resubmitting revisions after the said date will not be charged with APC.
APC for the members of Ceramic Society of Japan and the Korean Ceramic Society is US$600.
For non-members, the APC is US$1,200.
If you are a member of the Ceramic Society of Japan or the Korean Ceramic Society, please obtain a waiver code by the following method.

Peer Review
Taylor & Francis is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review. Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper. There are no word limits for papers in this journal.
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use double quotation marks, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation”. Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
Please use numbered headings in your manuscript.
Please do not use footnotes. Use of endnotes is not recommended. Instead, please include the information in the text.
Formatting and Templates
Papers may be submitted in Word or LaTeX formats. Figures should be saved separately from the text. To assist you in preparing your paper, we provide formatting template(s).
Word templates are available for this journal. Please save the template to your hard drive, ready for use.
A LaTeX template is available for this journal. Please save the LaTeX template to your hard drive and open it, ready for use, by clicking on the icon in Windows Explorer.
